I'm Tim my wife is Arlene (R-leen) .
We are in our late forty early fiftys.
We've gone to at least one festival every year . No we don't limit ourselves to just jam band festivals and concerts .

I just purchased mine and going solo. I am Rich and from Baltimore, MD. Like you, I have been to many festivals and super excited about Lockn.

Rufus here, 35 from Louisville KY. Did VIP camping last year and had a blast!

Rob here from Hampton, VA. Did svip last year, vip for me this year. Got a buddy flying up from Florida for this awesome fest.

Mike from MD, 45. did regular rv last year, realized we'd want to upgrade to vip rv, which we did for this year. I'm in a two rv crew from parts far and wide: ny, va, md, ga, ca. Dont know how many fests i've been to, many would be my answer.
hikertrash: i'll be in louisville to hit the bourbon trail at the end of the month and coincidentally Sir Paul is at the Yum while we're there, so I'll try to hit that.

Good luck getting tickets to Paul! Very hard to come by around here unless you want to spend lots and lots of money!!

Good luck getting tickets to Paul! Very hard to come by around here unless you want to spend lots and lots of money!!

I read the newest rolling Stones article it states that vip is ruining festivals. One particular statement in the article that really irritated me "the people in vip are doing nothing more than flaunting their money". I have over 200 festivals I've Walked the distance,unwashed, under fed,unslept, over partied. Now I just want to be unslept, over partied. And I'm more than willing to pay for it. After all the memories are often remembered by how great the enjoyment was. Enter vip.

It all started with people like ticketmaster having gold circle seating & the bands saw how they were not getting any extra so they added up front & get a water bottle & blanket or whatever & then added meet & great for more. And places like stub hub showed that people had plenty of money to spend for good seats. So its only natural that festivals got into the action of VIP. I can see where some of it has gone out of control but without the extra that they are used to getting & if they get rid of it then all tickets go way up. Then it gets to expensive for some people that can do GA now to be able to go. It's a mad circle.

I read that article in Rolling Stone. For me the days of sleeping on the ground and walking miles as long over. If I had to walk several miles I would miss half the artist. I did the svip/rv deal last year. For me back issues will not allow walking all day. I know it's a lot of cash, but I have made that choice.

Well Rob I can't agree with you more. When I met my wife it was in 07 I had on my 04 Bonnaroo t she asked me if I saw all those bands I said I did as well as others. We were at Bonnaroo 10 months later. That was her first festival. Been to 10 other festival since yes all have been vip since that fateful Monday morning she chose not to take my advice and entered the Porta potty.

Hi campin' buddies!! My old man Cole and I are bringing some friends to car camping VIP! We are all from Arkansas. We are by no means rich, but we always try to budget for VIP for our festivals~ two a year. It's worth it. Skipping the hassle at the gate and cleaner bathrooms sells it!!

I did svip last year.   From what I remember, the VIP camping is on the side of the main field.   For me the close location was worth the VIP cost alone.   Some of the camping is pretty far, so VIP is the way to go.   The meals in the VIP tents are typical buffet stuff.   Nice on the first day to not have to worry about cooking.    Being able to get down front is awesome.   Enjoy the show.   Hopefully I'll be camping in the VIP rv lot.

Roo opens tonight I guarantee that scene is in total chaos with traffic set up in the the dark try and do a meet N greet cold beers. Yeah I love the preshow almost as much as the show.

I'm Bill, my wife Ann and I are RV VIP again this year. Being in our 50s, the additional $ for not having to hike "miles" is well worth it. We were 50 feet from the gate last year and hope to be as close this time. We found it easier to walk back to camp to pee rather than line up and hope for a not so nasty porta pottie. Plus my booze was a lot cheaper.

Man I can't wait for this to get here. Being I'll really took a tole on our concerts festivals and all around fun this summer.

Hey,My name is  Ron,55 years young,heading in Wednesday night depending on the date and time of entry for VIP Car Camping.I am solo,and may need a helping hand assembling base camp on Thursday.I have become spoiled,staying in campers with AC,its going to be an awesome experience camping in the Rough, meeting great people at a great festival.
