Yes (and parking pass).

We have NOT gotten the SVIP's yet...and they shipped the same day! (WTF?!)

Note - I got a call from CID saying that we would need all paper tickets to get in.

I suppose that will help expedite things opposed to last year - however it was more the searches that were an issue.

Where do u live and when did you get your tickets if you dont mind me asking? Im up in Michigan, received an email on the 9th saying tickets were being shipped. I also spoke with musictoday on the phone and they said we were guaranteed entry even if the tickets dont show up for some reason

email on the 11th (or 12)...got them within a couple days.

Like I said...there were TWO packs that went out...the other has still not arrived.

Yes. They have VIPs getting off 29 on Front St. - about three miles north of the GA entrance - and coming in a back way.

Hi All,
I've been slacking on the boards as I've been trying to finalize my divorce before Lockn - Yay! and pack and prepare for my journey starting in a few days from SFO -> JFK -> Long Island -> Harrisburg -> Charlottesville -> Arrington!

I am doing VIP camping w/ car this year as I did last year. I have received my ticket package already.

I'm hoping they open the field on Wednesday night again, but planning on getting in line around 7am if not.

Question for anyone who did VIP last year... What were the rules regarding people bringing (bag) chairs into the VIP sections on the sides of the stages? I saw tons of people with chairs in there. On the check-in sheet i received with my tickets it said under the prohibited items that chairs would not be allowed on the "ada, vip, or other viewing platforms. So I called CID to make sure VIP's were still getting "viewing centered in front of both stages" and not getting screwed on a platform further back. The CID rep did tell me there was still a section centered in front of both stages, i imagine in front of the soundboard, that was not a platform. However, she told me that chairs would most likely not be allowed in this section. This contradicts what is on the VIP arrival sheet as that section is not a platform. Wondering if they said the same thing last year about no chairs on the platforms and mentioned nothing about chairs in the normal VIP sections? I would be very upset if we were unable to bring chairs into the up-front section and were forced to leave the VIP in order to have a comfortable place to enjoy the shows.

I assumed that the "no chairs in VIP" was because they are close to the stage, and small, and that's where people prefer to stand/dance
rather that trip over chairs. In other words, sit in the back, stand in the front. And when I go to the front in VIP I will stand,
regardless of who is sitting in what nearby.

I would also assume that while they need to keep the ADA area clear of chairs, being ADA, that those who medically needed chairs would
be accomodated. But not those who just wanted to sit around. Seems fair enough to me. How they monitor that is beyond me.

These were my observations for chairs in VIP, SVIP, and ADA last year:

Last year the up-front VIP viewing areas where more like up-front 1/3  left side of Oak Stage and 1/3 right side od Ridge Stage, and these areas angled more outside left and right the further from the front they got.  These areas were always quite crowded and nobody was going to allow you to set a chair up, the space was just to crowded.  However, the metal barriers that segregated these areas off, had chairs build into them, and people were sitting here.

Last year ~50 yards out in the infield left and right of the stages again were the SVIP platforms, and chairs could be set-up here during the early day sets, but as the headliners played later at night, these areas too became to crowded to have chairs.  People wanted to dance and not around you sitting in your chair.

Last year the ADA platforms were ~75 yards back and chairs were allowed here at all times.

Total different set up this year....I've asked a couple time.

Now, that all could change of course.

From what I was told, the no chairs rule is due to a more central location.

Hmmmm...I wonder if this has to do with the stages possibly being angled more!

In those same VIP sections I saw tons of chairs set up throughout the weekend, mostly towards the back of those sections, which is where I would like to set up chairs this year. I agree with you that towards the end of each night the vip sections got quite full but again there were still people in chairs towards the back of those sections. I plan on standing/dancing for the majority of each day, however at times I may need to sit down for a while
