have those people played with phil? curious if that will be legit or not.
I can only find Al with Phil. But they are all great musicians, have all played plenty of dead music before. I'm not a huge moe. guy but I am excited for this.
Honestly I prefer for Phil lineups to be like this. I mean since they don't practice together, I'd prefer for it to be a band where the members all have chemistry and understanding already and just add Phil in.

I think Phil will have a hard time trying to Santana Chuck Garvey and AL, dudes have one speed and it's all out, though I think this could very well steal the show if everyone's all in. (Full disclosure though, I'm a total Moe.Ron, so I'm a little biased) Also I'm in the camp of belief that Derek and Susan will be there with Mule, maybe a little Butch salute?

I'm glad they are listing a full moe. set. and then Phil walks outr for some phil.moe. Otherwise it just feels thrown together like Phil w/Page, Fishman, Russo & Dusters felt last year. Love moe. and so I'm hoping for something epic. It does fit into the haven't seen that before column. And it does say Phil & Friends w/ moe. so we'll see.
Phil & Family Band w/ Bob playing Terrapin oh hells yeah. AND a Phil & Family Band stand alone set... not so much. I guess as a short set between Mule sets makes it more palatable for me. I just don't think there is that much talent in the Family Band configs I've heard. Hope to be proven very very wrong.
Really interested to see who the Avetts guest is. Someone cool could elevate that to next level.

Capital Theatre 11/21/14 with Keller, JK, Russo, and Crosby. If I recall these were announced at L2. Shows every weekend for a month. We went to a few but not this one.

I was thinking in terms of set times, but yes I agree with youFwiw while not headliner heavy this is the return this is the return to the dead roots people wantsd. Im very happy with this lineup, hope i can make it

I do remember Keller announcing this was his debut w/ P&F at L2. We drove up for the Saturday show. Pretty sure Al did not come out for that one, but Floodwood (Al and Vinnie's bluegrass band) played the afterparty at Garcia's. I really like Floodwood and wanted to stay, but it was very crowded and the people we were with didn't want to stay.

All I know, and this is probably a stretch, is that a band member told a friend of mine they were coming and could not announce yet. Could be wrong, don't know. So please don't rain on my parade anymore I don't think that is the issue. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think everybody just needs to prepare themselves.
We have different sources.
I'm rooting for your source.

And that same logic is part of what drives my Bobby/Avetts speculation.I would be very surprised if that Mule special guest isn't Jim James. Seems silly to only have him come in for just a late afternoon set.
Can't find they have performed live together, but have recorded.

Im liking everything I see on the daily schedule minus the Avett Bros and the Biscuits. Just my personal taste. But ya know Ill be checking them both out and get the most out of my money.
One thing that kinda bums me out is the fact that there is no alternative music going on on Thursday night, i.e. a woods stage show. Might just chill out in Garcias forest that night, take it easy and then dip when all the bisco wooks come creeping in after their set. haha 
Anyway really excited for this year. Cant wait to be back on the farm.
Any thoughts on more announcements?

I'm not huge on John Butler, but I think Saturday just looks less impressive because there's fewer acts on there. Even if you count Panic as 2, there's still 2 fewer acts listed for the Saturday main stage than on Friday. Seems likely to be an add there still. I could see TTB slotting in between JBT and Fogerty and it would instantly look a lot better.Sounds like I am more excited about Sat than most. I think Keller>Greensky>JBT>Fogerty>WSP sounds great. I like that lineup too. Probably leave Widespread a little early for JRAD, but that looks really strong.

I'm with you, sounds awesome to me. Seen WSMFP at a lot of festivals, but never seen them as a headliner before. They deserve it! And judging from L1, I'm expecting Fogerty to be sitting in with others.

Don't worry about it. JRAD will not start until Widespread is over (probably long over).
Saturday might have fewer acts just because they will have longer sets, but who knows? With the schedule published, I've given up on TTB or any other big acts being added.

It's weird that you like Mule so much but don't like Panic.
