The fact that Lockn lets shit like this get booked in its own backyard is just astonishing to me & kinda leads me to think that property will never see Live Music played on it again.

I honestly don’t think lockn has the infrastructure to support 50000 to 60000 people for 4-5 days. Smaller shows would be no problem. But not a Phish festival.

If it’s Byrne, Harrison, Belew and a touring band that’d be cool, but a David Byrne/ String Cheese Incident Show would be off the chain. Neil Young finally returned to the road last summer for the first time in four year to embark on his solo Coastal Tour. The legendary musician has his eyes on “playing some” Summer 2024 shows and posted a letter on his Neil Young Archives website revealing plans are in the works for what he is calling the “Love Earth Tour.”

“I hope you and your families are doing well in this time,” started the message from Young as first pointed out by Thrashers Wheat. “With the world marred in wars, it’s a good time to think of family and those you love, trying to make their days a little better.”

Neil Young then devoted the next portion of his “A Message From Neil” post to laying out some factors as he is “looking at possible places for our LOVE EARTH tour.” The 2024 run shares its name with a track featured on the 2022 Neil Young & Crazy Horse album World Record.

Young wants to keep to “outdoor venues for health safety” and spaces that offer “Farmaid Homegrown food” as well as “renewable fuel for our busses (sic) and trucks.” Neil aims to provide “music for the soul” at each stop.

Long time me not posting anything here. I had this thought today, and took a quick look to see if I was repeating anything already discussed. With the Las Vegas Dead & Co. residency, I'm suggesting a Lockn' type east coast Dead & Co. or Dead & Friends residency at the Lockn' site. Dead headliners and sit ins, the usual suspects on the card and opening each night. Daily tickets, and full run tickets with camping. Oh wait, you need to clear the daily folks out. Maybe needs some more thought.
