Airport shuttles, rideshares, etc?

Hey guys,

This is a festival that I refuse to miss, but trying to figure out logistics. For those who went last year, how easy was it to get from the airport to the festy grounds? I know there aren't shuttles, but how did you guys make this work? Renting cars? Coordinating rides?

I'm coming from NYC and will prob have to come on a friday. All my homies are driving up from the South to get there Thurs, so trying to figure out a way to make it all work! Any advice is appreciated

Where are flying into? Wherever it is you will probably need to rent a car.

Haven't made any travel arrangements yet, but I think Charlottesville is closest? Best bet is to hitch a ride probably.

Vsct, where are you renting a car from? i'd love to split the costs with someone. (Promise I'm a normal, happy person haha)

Roanoke. It is like $10 a day.

Wife and I fly into Charlottesville at noon on Wednesday and are renting a mini van for the trip.....might be able to help a few out

Yeah Im not quite sure where I'll be coming from or if I'd be flying in or not. I'm considering renting a car from DC to Charlottesville and having a buddy pick me up. But thank you and I will def let yall know!

Last year a friend drove out from CA and met us at the Richmond Airport. Drive to Arrington was very pleasant. And since he drove across country he brought all our camping equipment. No such luck this year. Hoping my friend rents a house or rv which would make things a LOT easier. I know last year there were a lot of people coordinating rides here and on facebook pages. Stay tuned. If my friend doesn't rent an RV, I'll be renting a car and we'd be looking for a 3rd or 4th to help with the cost to Lockn.
