Saw him solo at Forecastle Festival a few years back. Meh. I saw Avett Bros at the same festival and was about 10x more impressed.

Hmm. If thats the case, thats a very disjointed announcement as far as the buildup each day. i would have slotted that into yesterdays announcement or even befor eBisco and put Bobbys today

No idea. Bobby is definitely a bigger personality for me because of his history. As far as where he will slot in the schedule, I would guess Jim is a bigger announcement than Bobby.

This is a small add. I know he's popular (was?) but he's not MMJ--though I'll admit I'm not the best at judging "bigness" for bands of that era and genre. MMJ was promoted as the second big thing at last years' Lockn although I didn't see it. He's also out of Red Light's stable, as was much of last year, too.

If I were in charge, I'd put him late in the woods unplugged (fixes the sound issue) or at 11:00 am instead of Grass.

They definitely should utilize him vocally in some type of collaboration, seems like a missed opportunity not to.

a JJ solo set on the Woods stage would be VERY cool.

I'm with you on the Woods idea, but it wouldn't be acoustic. I don't know how big he is, but whatever it is it's bigger than he ever was at any time in the past.

I dont believe Grateful Grass is on the bill and no way he gets an 11 am slot.
