Well I've been busy all day and I'm late to the party but this is a great initial line up, won't hear any bitching from me. Hope we get multiple sets of panic/cheese/UM. Hope Phil is more than just the family band but if not oh well. Can't wait for August!

no odds being given on that; it was a certainty.

And FTR my previous discussion about the arena rock bands of yore was by no means an endorsement to have them at Lockn. Except Aerosmith; that's an exception--and also unrealistic.

Definitely a good overall initial lineup. Still nothing that I have to go to Lockn pretty much to see, but we've got time.

Biggest surprise for me is no TTB yet. Maybe those two points are related?

I am very happy with this initial lineup and I love the way that they announced the artists, my favorite yet. Tickets bought and paid for now I can just kick back and wait until August.

And with that news I am off to  Xmas Jam jam tomorrow. Someone keep the countdown current if you can. Official 2017 Lockn meetup thread coming soon...

I'm reading it as two sets Phil, one w/ Terrapin Family band (40th anniversary Terrapin) and one w/ yet to be announced Friends.

I had him saying the lineup was only worth a $75 ticket...

Am I crazy? I don't see any headliners on this lineup..... But then the realistic me kicks in and I realize Avett's are one of the headliners (they are to folk what Nickelback is to rock) and Phil is probably headling one night, which is ok, I do like Phil. Weir and a major classic rock headliner would make this Lineup look legit, but as of now, it just looks super weak.
