jerry garcia symphonic celebration featuring warren haynes

Anybody been to one of these? Think it is worthwhile? Coming close to me but i am balancing some financial priorities right now

At risk of overselling, it was not just great, it was fucking great. Made me wonder why we don't get more of these rock/symphonic combos.

I've seen similar things done--Ian Anderson w/ London Symphonic Orchestra (I think I had a tape of that at one time) and various symphonies doing Beatles music.  Some of those have been a little underwhelming for me.

Yeah, but none of those others were Warren playing Jerry songs on Wolf with a symphony. It was great to hear that guitar again. It still gives me chills thinking about it.

Me and my brother in law went last year in raleigh. What I saw was awesome!!!! We ate some bad pizza before the show and I got deathly sick early on. He was fine until about :30-1hr after me. We had to leave early........ I'd go again. But, I'd skip the bad pizza.

Yep. Red Hat. Just saw 2 nights of Panic there. Raleigh, my home town. And we actually have good pizza here but I'm not sure about pizza at Red Hat.

Went to the one at Wolftrap last year with the National Symphony. One of the best nights of the year. They are doing one in Charlottesville, VA this year on a weeknight....$70 for gold circle. I need to just man-up and purchase a ticket before I regret it.

I got gold circle for Raleigh but we swapped them after the show started with some folks in the back. We had to get up and dance some and where we were that wasn't appropriate. A bunch of us got together towards the back so we had some room to move. There were some folks sitting there so we swapped tix with them so they could move up and we wouldn't be bothering them.
