The 5th annual LOCKN’ 2017 takes place on AUG 24 – 27 in beautiful Arrington, VA.

‘Lumni tickets and camping passes will be available for sale until Wednesday, October 19 at 12PM, at which time they will go offsale, and Early Bird tickets and camping passes will be available for purchase. Get your ‘Lumni tickets here before it’s too late.

‘Lumni travel packages will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, October 19 at 12PM until Monday, October 24 at 5PM. Travel packages will be available to the public beginning Monday, October 24 at 5PM. More details available here.

There will be 3 tiers of pricing for LOCKN’ 2017 (not counting ‘Lumni tickets). Early Bird tickets are the first tier, at the lowest price. Each price tier has a limited amount of tickets available, and price increases will be announced prior.

Interesting that the Early Bird 4 day announced today is $259 but was $269 when they first announced. That is the only discrepancy I can see with just a cursory look.

I really liked that.

For L'15, lumni tickets were sold September 23rd - October 21st.  I think announcements started in November (25th was the String Cheese/Doobie, Panic, TTB and other artist Announcements) and tickets went on sale to general public on December 1st. They did a trickle after that November 25th announcement ahead of "holiday ticket specials", if I recall correctly - with a substantial final update in March. Things were pretty fixed in June. 

For L'16 the lunmi tickets were October 9th to November 10th (they extended it by two weeks after initial announcement). We didn't get an announcement until February 17th, I think. 

That's me and my email history's recollection.

I am in the camp that the announcement pattern from last year was clearly connected to Phish. Hoping we go back to a trickle announcement pattern this year as well!

I think the announcement structure last year was more due to the date change than Phish, but I'm sure that played a role as well.

I won't know whether I can go this year until the last minute either way. Kinda sucks since I might not be able to, but also kinda nice to just not worry about it. If anyone buys tickets and then wants to bail after they announce that DMB is headlining and Vulpeck is playing their new album on repeat at the BRB the entire weekend, please keep me in mind.

Someone was saying last year that Phil couldn't be announced that early because of insurance issues or something, since he had cancelled some shows in the past and that's why he was such a late announcement this year.  I dunno could be BS, but wonder if anyone else knows anything about that?  Anywhoo, my money is on some combination of Panic, TTB, and Mule being the first bands announced.

Just joking.  But man you guys worry about a perceived "crowd" more than anyone I've ever seen.  Phish crowd, Umphrey's crowd, MMJ crowd, Ween crowd, DMB crowd, Panic crowd, Cheese crowd...these people are not very different from each other and in many cases are in fact the same.
