Distance traveling to Lockn': 180 (?) from my home in Norfolk Virginia
Camping area (or offsite): VIP car camping; hoping for steeplechase
Most excited for (Thursday): Little Feat
Most excited for (Friday): MD&E, JA, Steve Earle (on my list since last year), NMA/O\
Most excited for (Saturday):Santana, tedeschi trucks, Leavell
Most excited for (Sunday): Plant, WSP, trombone shorty, St. Paul
Lockn' artists I've seen before: Lesh/Weir/Kreutzman, TTB, Leon Russell, Little Feat, Anders, NMA, Stainback, WSP, Leavell, Kadlecik, Gov't Mule/Haynes, trombone shorty, fishbone, umphreys
Artist from the undercard I recommend: Trombone Shorty, North Mississippi Allstars (NMA), Seth Stainback is our local talent--blues band. Looking forward to St. Paul for the first time
The one song I absolutely must hear: no way to say. The MD&E playlist (esp. "The Letter"), and the old Feat tunes (plus Let It Roll). "Darling be home soon" was a great MD&E song released on the 2006 version, and TBB does a great version, so that may be a real clincher--listen out for it.
If I could add one artist to Lockn' it would be: realistically, Robert Randolph, or Robert Earl Keen always a favorite. Always like drive by truckers, too.
Prior festival experience: Lockn last year was my first overnight. Does CSNY 1974 at Foreman Field ODU count? Advice from others I learned, "don't be that guy."

Name: Bryan
Age: 42
Distance to/from Lockn': Roughly 3 hours by car
Absolute Lockn' highlight: Mad Dogs & Englishmen
What I should be doing instead of typing this: Paying attention in a work meeting although I have nothing pertinent to contribute today
Father's Day gift I am dropping many hints about, which if received will surely enhance my festival experience: Sportbrella Recliner Chair
Interesting fact about me: When I was born, my mother lost so much blood that she was pronounced dead. A doctor on staff managed to revive her. That same doctor, Jeffrey MacDonald, was later convicted of killing his family and was the subject of a book and movie titled Fatal Vision.
First concert: Oingo Boingo, Halloween Show, Irvine, CA 1988
Most recent concert: Widespread Panic at Walnut Creek
Most recent concert ticket purchase: ZZ Top with Gov't Mule in Cary, NC
Next scheduled concert: Bruce Hornsby's Funhouse Fest in Williamsburg, VA
Favorite author: Kurt Vonnegut
Books recently read: My Cross To Bear by Gregg Allman; You Can't Always Get What You Want by Sam Cutler (purchased at Lockn' 2015)
Only phrase I can say in Japanese despite taking two years worth of classes: Tanaka san no kuruma wa akai des (Mr. Tanaka's car is red).
Character weaknesses that I am working on each and every day: Patience, temper, self-confidence
Worst relationship from a musical standpoint: dating an extremely bi-polar girl in college with a horrible taste in music. She despised the Grateful Dead and made it a point to remind me of this hourly. Also, when I played Abbey Road in my car, she asked "What is this, the worst of the Beatles?" Likewise, when playing The White Album, particularly the stretch that includes Blackbird, Piggies, and Rocky Raccoon, she asked "What is this, Stupid Animal Songs?" I put up with it at the time because looks-wise she was way out of my league.
If I could add one artist to Lockn' it would be:
The Thelonious Monk Quintet featuring John Coltrane. Because if I could make that happen, think of all the other amazing stuff I would probably be capable of.
