Ok this thread is about the craziest, funniest & abnormal things you’ve seen at Lockn. I’ll go first:
1). In 2014 on Saturday night during the evacuation of the field during WSP’s set on our way back to our tent in Forest Camping my GF & I were walking next to the Wookiest of Wooks i’ve ever seen in my life, and I’m a certified “Colorado Big Game Trophy Wook Hunter” from way back, and this gentleman who was probably 45-50ish at the time tells us his name is “Half Sheet” and he is just going off about how he can’t believe they evacuated over this & I kid you not about 10 seconds into his tirade the sky opens up it just pours for about 10 minutes. Well on our March back to the tent this same guy is following behind us telling us about his campsite and how we should come by, yada, yada....AND THEN he said something that to this day amazed me. Serious as the day he was born, he looks at us and says “Hey, tonight after the Triangle Show, there’s gonna be a LIVE HORSE BIRTHING at our tent over in Forest camping. You guys should come, it’s gonna be wild man, shit gets crazy at these. But keep it on the down low, we don’t wanna get busted. It’s fucking hard getting a live pregnant horse in here past security.” Now at this point I wasn’t sure if what I heard was “real” or a figment of my imagination from the “festival experience” however, everyone I was with heard the same thing. The gentleman then aburptly ran off to catch his friends. I never ventured out that night to check the validity of his claim, to be honest it kinda freaked me out and my GF was not about it at all. It was her 1st festival, I thought she was gonna go home she was so freaked out. She’s like “Do they do that at every festival you go to?” I was like “God No”. IDK if a horse birthing occurred or not, I’m saying no but the guy was so serious when he said it. He was talking about cutting the umbilical cord and how nothing’s more precious than seeing a colts first shaky steps. I was stunned. To this day when I wanna freak somebody out I tell them, “Hey come over to our camp, there’s gonna be a live horse birthing after the show”. Then just walk away. Gotta keep that story going. That’s the craziest thing I’ve seen at Lockn or about anyplace else. What do you guys got???
