My take:
It's a little thin, we will see who gets added and when. I'm psyched to see: Twiddle; moe.; Bobby and the Wolf Bros (I like their take on Dead songs); Edie Brickell (I have seen her open for the Dead at RFK in the dim past, she is adorable on stage, but I have no idea what she has been doing recently); Pigeons - JRAD - Keller - always welcome by me; I love the collabs, but it is always a crap shoot as to how they work out; I am surprised that Oteil is there, I thought he was playing elsewhere - I hope that turns into a mass sit in...
I also like that I don't have to wait until the crack 'o dawn to see JRAD.
All in all, not too bad at all - I will have fun even if no more bands are added. I expect to see another 'major minor' band or 2 added to the undercard. Does anyone think another headliner will be added? If do, who gets demoted? JRAD?
Crickets and cicadas sing... A rare and different tune...

Smosey Wales wrote this a bit ago, and was exactly right: "And that concerns me some. They had a 40,000 seat sell-out band for two nights and didn't bring in half that many people for either night. That could prove that this fest (location) can't bring the critical mass for big big names (without doubling ticket price, hardly an option) which leads me to think we will see a large number of artists but few top billings. And I can accept that; I'm not there mainly for the big names (but I like it!)"
I LOVE Pigeons (just saw them at the Cap) and I bet the weekend will be a fun time and have some fine moments, but there's really nothing here that is WOW or anywhere close to a big draw. It'll all come down to the vibe, the weather, the company. It's not a "destination" festival based on this lineup, though.

This right here. Best vibes, gorgeous scenery, amazing tight knit group of people, family atmosphere, all things I was looking forward to. But as a destination festival, this wasn’t enough of a lineup for us to invest time and money to go to. I’m sad today you guys!

I'm not a Phil or Cheese fan so I don't miss them at all.
I won't miss the Relix stage either.

Expect some shuffling and inserts.
They could easily drop in a Big Name.
But no point speculating so please stop saying Neil Young!!! It's been five years of that fercryinoutloud!
To other comments, I agree without the Big Names this is not a "destination fest" except for people who have been and know what fun it is regardless of who plays at 10:00 pm. But given that Dead Co x 2 nights didn't make it a destination fest, either, perhaps it's a prudent call.
They have to bring in younger newer acts to sustain the fest. That means fewer old dogs. I see that exhibited here. The older fans of the old acts look for an urban event with more hotel options.
Overall I see Lockn' being tuned up some to be a solid, smaller regional event with serious music, rather than big with "popular" music. Fine with me.

Maybe the bigger issue is that it's hard to know where to go with a post-GD festival.

I'm pleased with the lineup (although I would have liked to see Warren there again). Maybe there are term limits for Mayor of Lockn'?
I suspect that we'll get an interesting addition or two later in the Spring, plus the winners of Rock'n To Lockn.
And with two sets for the headliners, we'll actually have an opportunity to pee and get another beer (probably in that order)
