That's an earlier end to the late night shows than they have been in the past.

Front Porch stage: before Blue Ridge Bowl starts and after music ends. This is consider an indoor stage, as it has a tent over it.

It's kind of more of a reordering--before the shows went main field--woods stage--Blue Ridge Bowl.  Now it goes Main Stage--Blue Ridge Bowl--Front Porch at Terrapin.

What I heard him say was main venue music went from 10AM to 2AM.  That includes the Blue Ridge Bowl and the Main Stage.  

Additional music before and after at the Front Porch at Terrapin.  But he wasn't too specific about times for that.

That is what friends, other than you friends, are reporting as well. Cutting JRAD off at 2am? Heck, I can see that anywhere. BRB until stupid late was a HUGE draw for me.

this is a major rearrangement. Guessing is fun but getting bummed out about something that hasn't happened and might not happen is not the vibe we like.

So is it still BRB from noon to 3, then 2 stages (rotating OR side-by-side) kicking off at 3 in Infinity Downs/Show Stage/Main Stage/Not the Racetrack Stage until midnight then back over to BRB until 2am? If so and they are really right next to each other as it appears then I don't really get why it isn't all on the 2 stages. Unless they are trying to keep the BRB concept viable for other events.

Not right next to each other...He said if you were facing BRB you would turn 90* to face the main stage.  The main stage will be rotating/turntable.  So BRB from early (10 or noon or whatever) to 4, then 4 to midnight on the main stage, then BRB stage until 2AM.  That's what I took from it.

Hard to find anything negative about the artist additions. Maybe not a big surprise but all solid. I especially like the Piano on the Porch concept.

Yeah that is what I meant. Not the stages adjacent to each other but the venues are adjacent to each other. Do you think they will be separated by a fence or do you think it is free flow between the 2 fields? The map, Limited info, shows entry points into one large area. If it is one large area, even if it is somewhat separated by the existing tree line, with free flow between the 2 then I don't understand the advantage of it being different venues. If the main show field can hold the entirety of the crowd then why not everything there from 10 or noon straight thru to 2am? Why have the BRB at all? Unless it is easier to control volume from the BRB stage.

I think it is free flow between the two. Honestly I am not sure why they wouldn't just have one stage.

There would seem to have to be time between acts on the BRB stage, which is a negative to me.

I would guess they can't fit the rotating stage or twin headliner stages into BRB so they have to have the Infinity Main Stage. BUT they also want to keep the Blue Ridge Bowl idea alive for future stand alone shows.

IIRC, it did not seem like Infinity Downs area was very big between BRB and where it starts to go uphill to high field camping (behind the vendors). The folks in the rear during the acts at Main Stage might be standing sideways on the BRB hill.

Well, if you can't see both stages from either field (the way you could at L1-3) then the field in front of the dark stage is a place to hang out if you don't want to see the other stage's band, or just don't feel like moving. I'm sure you'll be able to hear one band from the other field. Thus you have that open space that you had before, on the sides and back of the food/vendor tents.

I think there is 1 stage at BRB Just like last year. I think they are saying there are 2 stages (rotating) in Infinity Downs. Not 1 stage at BRB and 1 stage at Infinity Downs. I think the early shows will be at the single BRB stage with inevitable load in/out delays. Then everything switches over to Infinity Downs instead of the racetrack where the big bands play on the 2 rotating stages. And then for the last act they switch back to the single BRB stage.
