The date change last year was so they could get Phish--but there were other good reasons, logistically, to make the move. IMO the announcement structure is intentional marketing, and not based on when the ink is dry on a particular contract, for the most part and certainly for the biggies.

That being said, they threw together a good playbill late in the game at L2 when Weir's cancellation cost them Furthur as well as Bob. So I'm not saying there isn't some level of flexibility and chance.

The crowd this year was skewed younger than in years past. With it came more balloon heads and blinky lights but I admit the behavior of the crowd wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. However, there absolutely was a difference.

I think they are going to change it up this year with early announcements (significant announcements) and announce the smaller/boutique act later.

I also would love to see Roger Waters announce early. He does have a touring gap in Aug.

If the lineup becomes a joke, my hope is that I will be able to sell them at a marginal discount closer to showtime up here in the DC market where there was a healthy secondary market on Craigslist this past summer.

Holding off on Lockn' ticket for now. I had to throw down for Rodger Waters in Louisville. I will say if somehow Rodger Waters is on this line-up, you'll think the wait for Phish to set up was too short.

I am now officially in the “wait and see what the lineup is” column. I would have loved to jump on the ‘Lumni rates, but we have too much other stuff to pay for this fall. Hopefully we’ll know more before the price goes up again.

After getting crushed by a combination of high heat and a long walk back to camp at both Roo and Lockn this year, I'm gonna wait and see if the Lockn line up is totally stellar before buying tickets for what would be my fifth Lockn.  


But def getting my Floydfest tickets in two weeks cuz it's always cooler on the mountain.

That is the problem with the possibility if RW.... It is a huge production and that doesnt fit for LOCKN. But a first day RW only would be EPIC.
