Round One
Flat Five Productions & Lockn’ Festival announce "Rockn’ to Lockn’". This year, we’re giving fans a voice in choosing Virginia talent to showcase at Lockn' Festival 2014. Rockn’ to Lockn’ is a five night event, over the course of the summer, that will culminate in a final contest on Sat., August 9th at the RVA Theater in Richmond, VA with ONE band winning a coveted performance spot at Lockn’ 2014.

The Green Boys
The Green Boys describe themselves as, "americana/country revival songsters." They are a five-piece outfit with instrumentation that includes mandolin, banjo, and dobro. They blend a variety of roots-style music, including bluesgrass, country, and folk.

People’s Blues of Richmond
The People's Blues of Richmond characterize their sound as, "dark, blues-infused psychedelia," coupled with "carnival-like mayhem." The band recently underwent a lineup change, stripping down to three members, including new drummer Neko Williams (son of Drummie Zeb of the Wailers). They incorporate a variety of instrumentation, including heavy fuzz and reverb emblematic of 70's rock/psychedelic.

Everwilde
Everwilde's music is predominantly country, with a dash of southern rock. They're a pretty straightfoward three-piece outfit, who have built a solid following in Richmond area.

Bryan Elijah Smith and the Wild Hearts
Bryan Elijah Smith and the Wild Hearts call their music "Alternative-Americana." Their songs include a variety of instrumentation, including electric and acoustic guitar, piano, banjo, and fiddle. They fuse folk and country with blues and garage rock, resulting in an uptempo signer-songwriter vibe.
